How do you identify Porifera, Coelenterata and Ctenophora?
Sponges (Porifera) are recognised by a water canal system lined with collar cells, coelenterates (Cnidaria) by stinging cnidoblasts and polyp or medusa forms, and ctenophores by eight rows of ciliated comb plates used for swimming.
Porifera (sponges):
- Mostly marine, asymmetrical, cellular level
