These Terms & Conditions ('Terms') govern your access to and use of Your Abhyasika — our website, web app, and any related mobile apps (together, the 'Service'). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must review and accept these Terms on your behalf, and is responsible for your use of the Service and any account created for you.

2. What the Service does

Your Abhyasika is an adaptive learning platform. It generates lessons, practice questions, quizzes, flashcards, progress and mastery tracking, and an AI tutor chat to help students learn and practice across subjects and boards (CBSE, ICSE, IB, State Boards, and others). Features, content, and question sets may be added, changed, or removed at any time without notice.

3. AI-generated content — please read carefully

A large part of what you see on Your Abhyasika — practice questions, answer explanations, model answers, flashcards, chatbot replies, feedback on your answers, and difficulty/mastery assessments — is generated automatically using artificial intelligence (AI). We work to keep this accurate, but AI-generated content can occasionally be:

  • Incomplete, outdated, or factually incorrect — including a wrong marked answer or an explanation that doesn't fully match your textbook or your board's syllabus.
  • Inconsistent in difficulty labelling, since it is assessed automatically rather than by a human reviewer for every item.
  • Not a substitute for your textbook, teacher, or official exam/board guidelines — especially for board exams, competitive exams, or anything with real academic stakes.

Please verify important facts, formulas, and answer keys yourself before relying on them, and treat the AI tutor chat as a study aid, not a certified teacher. If you spot something wrong, tell us using the in-app Feedback button — it helps us fix it for every learner. We are not liable for grades, exam outcomes, or other loss arising from reliance on AI-generated content without independent verification.

4. Eligibility & your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

Accounts are for individual use — please don't share your login with others.

5. Subscriptions, usage limits & payments

Certain features are available on a free tier with usage limits (for example, a monthly cap on generated practice sets); paid plans may unlock higher limits or additional features. Plan details, quotas, and pricing are shown in the app and may change from time to time.

Where payments are enabled, they are processed by a third-party payment provider — we do not store your card or bank details. Refunds, where applicable, follow the policy shown at checkout or in your account's billing settings.

6. Acceptable use

While using the Service, you agree not to:

  • Use the Service to cheat on a proctored exam or in a way that violates your school's or board's academic integrity rules.
  • Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell content or access from the Service without our permission.
  • Use the AI tutor chat to generate harmful, abusive, illegal, or inappropriate content.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, or attempt to access accounts or data that aren't yours.

We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these rules.

7. Content & intellectual property

The Service — including its software, design, original lessons, and question content, and the "Your Abhyasika" name and logo — belongs to us or our licensors. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial, educational purposes. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute Service content without our written permission.

8. Educational use disclaimer

Your Abhyasika is a supplementary learning tool, not a replacement for formal schooling, tuition, or official exam preparation resources. It does not guarantee any particular grade, exam result, or admission outcome. Progress, mastery, and readiness indicators shown in the app are estimates based on your activity here and may not reflect your real-world exam performance.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect and how we use it. By using the Service, you consent to that collection and use.

10. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers for functions such as payment processing, hosting, and AI-generated content. We are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of third-party services we integrate with or link to.

11. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service (including excessive automated or abusive use of AI features), or fail to pay applicable fees. You may stop using the Service, or delete your account, at any time from your account settings or by contacting us.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Your Abhyasika and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including exam results, grades, or data loss — arising from your use of the Service, including reliance on AI-generated content that wasn't independently verified.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
